Weather Highlights:

  • Upper Mississippi/Red/Souris: From today through Saturday evening, a mix of rain, snow, sleet, and freezing rain is expected across MN and WI. Over the weekend and into next week, high temperatures will be in the 40s.From Davenport, IA and south a Slight Risk (Level 2/5) of severe storms are possible, primarily featuring damaging winds and large hail, is expected this afternoon and evening. Drier and milder weather will prevail through the weekend and into early next week.
  • Middle Mississippi Valley: A Slight Risk (Level 2/5) and Marginal Risk (Level 1/5) of severe storms is forecast for today with this passing cold front. Cooler temperatures with highs in the 60s are expected for the weekend and early next week.
  • Lower Mississippi Valley: Isolated severe storms are expected Saturday afternoon and evening, bringing a Marginal Risk (Level 1/5) of severe weather. The main threats will be damaging wind gusts and hail, developing along and ahead of the approaching cold front. Cooler temperatures are forecast for the weekend and early next week, with highs in the 70s.
